Billery provides an online platform that enables freelancers and SMEs to invoice clients, receive payments, and manage transactions. Billery acts as a service reseller, invoicing clients on behalf of freelancers and processing payments.

2. Definitions

  • Freelancer: A user who offers services through Billery and authorizes Billery to invoice clients.
  • Client: A user who purchases services via Billery and makes payments to Billery.
  • Platform: The website and software provided by Billery for managing invoices and payments.
  • Service Agreement: The contractual arrangement between Billery and Freelancers to facilitate transactions.
  • 3. Account Registration & Use

  • Users must provide accurate personal and business details.
  • Billery reserves the right to verify identities (KYC) before enabling payouts.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining account security.
  • 4. Payment Processing & Fees

  • Clients make payments to Billery, which then remits funds to Freelancers.
  • Billery deducts a platform fee of [5-10%] from each transaction depending on the currency.
  • Any applicable currency conversion fees are applied at the time of payout.
  • Payouts to Freelancers are subject to processing times and withdrawal limits.
  • 5. Tax Handling

  • Billery may apply VAT or other taxes depending on jurisdictional requirements.
  • Freelancers are responsible for declaring their earnings and paying taxes.
  • If required, Billery will withhold and remit applicable taxes.
  • Clients purchasing services may be required to pay VAT or similar taxes.
  • 6. Dispute Resolution

  • Clients have 3 business days to dispute an invoice after payment.
  • Billery will investigate disputes and may mediate between parties.
  • Refunds are issued at Billery’s discretion, considering service completion.
  • 7. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Refunds are only issued if the service was not delivered as agreed.
  • Once a freelancer has been paid, no refund requests will be entertained.
  • If a service is canceled before completion, Billery will determine refund eligibility.
  • 8. Liability & Indemnity

  • Billery is not liable for disputes arising from freelancer-client engagements.
  • Users agree to indemnify Billery from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from service transactions.
  • Billery is not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party payment processors.
  • 9. Termination & Suspension

  • Billery may suspend or terminate accounts for fraudulent activity, non-compliance, or violations of these terms.
  • Users can close their accounts by submitting a request, provided no active disputes exist.
  • 10. Data Protection & Privacy

  • Billery collects and processes user data by our Privacy Policy.
  • Users consent to data sharing with payment providers for transaction processing.
  • Billery complies with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
